M61 Ministries is an international outreach dedicated to reaching out to those whose life circumstances have left them in a less than fortunate place in life. Our mission is to give a Hand-Up rather than a Hand-Out! A wise man once said; "Give a man a fish and you'll feed him for a day, teach him to fish and you will feed him for life"...... When Jeff Kirschbaum, BMI Founder, fell in love with Kenya in 2004 - we had no idea how wonderful our partnership with this beautiful nation would be, and now a nation can enhance every area of a life. Thank you Kenya!
KENYA ALIVE! Link
Defeating poverty one animal at a time. Check out the amazing progress in Kenya with a huge shout out to our founder Jeff Kirschbaum who first fell in love with Kenya in 2004, Pastor Ken Gaston, who moved there from California in 2015, our beloved board member since 1997, Pastor Tom Chacko, who has taken the ministry to another level. Salute to Jesus, our Lord for his goodness and mercy to keep both men strong and willing to serve a nation that is knit in their hearts.
The Plan Ever-Evolving - again, thank you to our donars!
Current projects include a sewing school, but starting in 2021, it was to create habitats, ownders and industry with animals including pigs, cattle, goats, rabbits, chickens and others. Pastor Tom Chacko said in his 80th year that he would slow down - well, that was a couople of trips ago.
Thank you Tom for your tireless efforts to help people fulfill their destinies all over the world. This is only a small part of what you have done.
We have one of our own "Pastor Ken Gaston" from the USA now living in Nakuru Kenya as his home-base. He is our ambassador on the ground and responsible for the oversight and expansion of the ministry there. Pastor Ken sold his home and most of his possessions, picked up his life and moved to Nakuru Kenya in March of 2015 to oversee the M61 & BMI ministries there. He has a true "Fathers Heart" and has a home where he takes boys from the streets and makes them men. Some of his first students, are now grown men and continue to work with BMI in Kenya. We couldn't ask for a better "Ambassador" for the ministry on the ground! - Jeff & Karie Kirschbaum
